Jaspersoft has partnership with one of the leading Open Source ETL tools called Talend and it sells Talend’s Enterprise Version as Jasper ETL along with their own Enterprise version.
Talend/Jasper ETL can be used for ETL (extract, transform and load) as ELT (extract, load and transform) operations. Jaspersoft has also added features and capabilities into Jasper ETL which are not part of Talend enterprise. One example is the capability to execute Jasper reports through Talend.
