Quicksight provides multiple options to connect to datasources which includes databases like Teradata MySQL PostGress SQLServer etc, native AWS services such as Athena S3 RDS Aurora etc, API connectivity to famous applications like Twitter Github JIRA etc. There are also options to upload flat files like Excel, CSV, JSON etc.
