TALEND CLOUD FUNCTIONAL ARCHITECTURE
The diagram above is divided into two halves.
- Local network
- Cloud infrastructure.
Local Network :
The local network has web browser, Talend Studio and Remote engines.
- Web browser is used to access different cloud applications.
- Talend Studio is used to design data integration tasks and publish the jobs to Talend Management Console.
- Remote Engine is used to run jobs and tasks on premises.
- Talend Management Console is used to manage roles,users,projects,etc.,. It is used to collaborate jobs in Talend Studio.
- Talend Cloud Pipeline Designer is used to design complex end-to-end pipelines to process, enrich and transform data at rest or in motion.
- Talend Cloud Data Preparation is used to import your data from local files or other sources, and cleanse or enrich it by creating new preparations.
- Talend Cloud Data Stewardship is used to campaign owners manage data assets and organize the data interactions whenever human intervention is required to collaborate on data curation, arbitration, or validation.
- It creates a task for the Artifact – “SayHello”.
- Provide the parameters, for this example the string to be printed and click on continue.
- Provide the Runtime as Cloud and Runtype as Manual for manual execution or schedule as Once, Daily, Weekly, Monthly, etc from the options in the Runtype and click on Go Live.
- Click on RUN NOW to execute the job.
- At the bottom the job execution can be monitored.
Cloud Infrastructure :
The cloud infrastructure includes cloud applications and Cloud engines.
INTRODUCTION TO TALEND MANAGEMENT CONSOLE(TMC)
By logging into the talend portal using the Login and password, the Talend cloud portal opens where application can be selected from the drop box based on the requirement.
Click on Management Console which is an application that helps to Govern, Manage, Deploy and Monitor the execution of all types of artifacts.
Before going to the management console, there is an option to try and understand the console provided by Talend.
Talend Studio can also be downloaded and installed from the portal as seen in the image above.
