Data Engineer – Pentaho

Job Brief:

We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering and analytics, with hands-on experience in PDI, Pentaho Reports, Quick Sight, and SQL. Familiarity with Elastic search and AWS Redshift is a plus. This role involves working closely with various stakeholders to ensure seamless data integration and reporting.

Job Description:

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes using Pentaho Data Integration (PDI).
• Create and manage insightful reports with Pentaho Reports.
• Utilize Amazon QuickSight to develop and publish interactive dashboards and reports.
• Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Ensure data integrity and accuracy across various data sources and platforms.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data workflows to ensure seamless data integration and reporting.
• Implement best practices for data management and governance.

Requirements

The candidate with the following skills will stand out:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
• 3-4 years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or data analysis
• Proficiency in Pentaho Data Integration (PDI) and Pentaho Reports.
• Experience with Amazon QuickSight for data visualization.
• Strong SQL skills for data manipulation and analysis.
• Familiarity with Elasticsearch and AWS Redshift is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
